What pressure should I set my compressor's regulator to inflate my tire?
- Created: Friday, 10 July 2015 11:32
There is a common misconception regarding the use of regulator especially when used to inflate tires. The regulator located on the compressor only determines the pressure coming out of the air hose. It has nothing to do with how much air it will inflate the tire. You still need to manually use a pressure gauge to determine how much pressure has been inflated in the tire.

I recently purchased an air impact, will it work with my compressor?

You need to consult the instruction manual for both air impact and air compressor. Review the CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) or SCFM (Standard Cubic Feet per Minute) rating. The CFM or SCFM rating of the air compressor MUST have a higher rating compared to the air impact for the tool to perform optimally.
